Seems like the Talossan "establishment" is beginning to learn that Peculiarists have a lot more to offer than just a bit of amusing clownerie. All because of Andy, who's been speaking his mind once or twice. *clap clap*

If nothing else, you're making the old guard scream. And this amuses me.

Unfortunately, it looks like they're going to throw me out over it. Sometimes there is a price to be paid... Best wishes to you all!

Speaking of which, when did the SoS get the right to re-post private messages? Ah well, none of my business now.

Well, they've never been big on freedom of conscience or civil rights around here.

As far as I'm understand the longwinded debate on the oath issue, you haven't been thrown out, Andy. They are just making token gestures of a power that they don't have.

Hmmm. As a person of questionable citizenship status, do I even have access to the Cort? Guess I'm gonna have to read up on the law. Somebody bring me some morphine.

Well, your citizenship has been reinstated pending hearing with the Cort. So, you do!

Well, they've never been big on freedom of conscience or civil rights around here. I know I'm pretty darn new and probably missed a heck of a lot, but that seems a little over the top. That said, I think Iusti was completely in the wrong, but I don't think he was intentionally in the wrong. Overzealous, inaccurate and insensitive, but not malicious or treacherous. I could be wrong though, I don't know. He does seem to get awfully cranky from time to time. It's worth noting that support came just about as many Pre-Reunion Kingdomites as Pre-Reunion Republicans and Post-Reunion Citizens. That is a wonderful sign. I don't think this was a monarchist/republican thing at all, though the specifics might suggest it. It was an overzealous SoS overstepping his bounds trying to enforce his interpretation of the law which hinged on a few assumptions not supported by that law. I like to think the same thing would have happened if it had been a different part of the oath, that it wasn't the specifics but the general idea that he overreacted to. I think a lot of the monarchist/republican bickering is pointless and unconnected to their true disagreements, and thus distracting from any productive arguments they could be having (such as actual monarchist vs. republican arguments, rather than RUMP/ZRT hand slapping tantrums.) Why am I rambling about this when I'm not even sure what my point is? Oh, I remember the point I meant to make: Looks like that whole oath plank just got ahead of us, heh. Pushing our agenda before we even have it, the NPW is efficient.

Yeah, it's a bit like the roasted chicken that come flying by in the land of milk and honey, whereas with a little bit of a turmoil. Must have been the mythical power of the tinfoil.

No, you're right on this one. I was letting my own grump/snark factor get the better of me. Sometimes even I have to be reminded that folks generally and often have the best intentions.
